Queen of basketball Lusia Harris passes at 66

Lusia Harris considered known to many as the queen of basketball passed away at 66 years old. Legend Luisa Harris is the first and only woman drafted by the NBA, yes the NBA. At Delta State she won 3 national titles & 3 tournament MVPs.


Harris scored the first bucket in the first women’s Olympic basketball game in 1976. Going home with the silver medal for team USA. She made history being the first and only woman to be drafted by an NBA team (New Orleans Jazz)
