After putting her stamp on British basketball, three time WBBL MVP and former London Lion Kennedy Leonard has signed to play in New Zealand for the summer with Mainland Pouākai.

Leonard missed some time out due to a hand injury, breaking it during a game. However, she is assures THV that it feels good now, feeling no pain with basic movements after some great rehab.
"My hand has made so much progress, it's a lot better! I can't wait to see how my hand bounces back this summer in New Zealand"
As expected Kennedy has really missed the game of basketball and looks forward to playing in the Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa for Mainland Pouākai. The season will start in July giving her enough time to get back to her MVP ways!

The Scotland\GB guard dominated in the WBBL, despite the hand injury, it'll be interesting to see how Leonard adjusts to this new league that is likely to have better competition across the board. The Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa league begins in July and runs through to early September, be sure to keep an eye out for Kennedy killing!
