GB EuroBasket 2022 Qualifiers Against France

After GB's win over Germany nine months ago, they go head to head against the host team France for the first of their two EuroBasket 2022 qualifiers this weekend. France are ranked 6th in the world who recently finished 3rd in the FIBA World Cup and are seen as favourites to win their group, however they are missing a lot of key personnel from their roster due to them having NBA duties (Nicolas Batum, Evan Fournier, Frank Ntilikina, Vincent Poirier, Axel Toupane and Rudy Gobert.

"We’re excited and the guys are ready to play. We’ve been going against each other for a few days now and it’s at the point where we’re ready for a game. I feel like we’ve made the most of the situation. It has been challenging with the parameters which have been set but the guys are ready to play. We’re prepared, we have a specific kind of game plan, and now we’ve just got to go and implement it against the sixth best team in the world."
